
UVU Student Association
As the Public Relations Chair for UVUSA, I oversee the brand image, brand development and all social media platforms. Some of my main responsibilities include creating a content calendar, fulfilling the requests of other members on council, and managing all content created for the brand. I also manage a team of student volunteers and interns who specialize in different areas of content, and they support me in creating content that increases engagement.

Since taking on the role of the Public Relations Chair for UVUSA, I have made it a priority to rebuild the branch into the potential I saw it had. For the first few months of my position, I focused on brand development. I worked to create a brand book for the organization to increase brand recognition and unity across all platforms. I also rebuilt the volunteer program to ensure more retention and responsibility through the program.
As the start of the school year came in August 2023, I started to created notable event campaigns that increased student attendance to events by almost 20%. Me and my team created all forms of content, from professional commercials, trendy videos, lively photography, graphic design and so much more. Notable Successes

Transformed the brand to become unified with basic colors, fonts, and mission of the organization.

Complied data from the last few decades into one comprehensible place, increasing effectiveness.

Renewed the structure of the volunteer media team and saw a 100% increase in applications than years previous.
- Retention rate of volunteers has also gone up by 100%
- Student attendance due to marketing efforts has increased by 20%
- Within the first two weeks of running official campaigns, we saw a 30% increase in organic following (Almost 2,500 new followers).
- Engagement on the Instagram has seen a 20% increase to years prior.
This position is unique, because it is a part of a leadership development program meaning, I am contracted out for this position from April 2023-April 2024. I have been a part of this program in various positions since 2019, and leading up to this position saw multiple ways the brand could improve. Knowing that I only have a year in this position, I have taken every opportunity to improve the brand and the processes so engagement can improve through the years. See as digital marketing is becoming more and more in demand, improving the brand has set them up for years and years to come.

Being the Public Relations chair has opened up for me to build on my skills as a Digital Marketing Specialist. While in this position I have had the opportunity to direct, film, photograph, design and manage and entire brand. All skills in any kind of content creation have been developed, along with campaign managing, marketing strategy and collaboration efforts across the organization.
